Make It Vancouver is a fabulous event happening this weekend May 01 (11am-7pm) & May 02 (11am-6pm) at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive). Make It Vancouver is all about The Handmade Revolution, re-connecting shoppers with designers.  This weekend you’ll find clothing, accessories, jewellery, art, baby and other one of a kind items that are all handmade, up-cycled and re-purposed.  It’s a great way to get a more personal shopping experience.  100 of the coolest designers and artists from across Western Canada will be under one roof, with a fully licensed bar and Vancouver’s own DJ Leanne. The only thing saving me from going bankrupt is that my favourite stores close at normal hours.  Well now I’m doomed, The Cross Decor and Design will be open until midnight during the Olympics! That’s right from now until February 28th The Cross will be open from 10am until midnight. They’ll have TVs in store, so you can catch up on the games, while you buy oodles of Olympic memorabilia.   Check out their hats, scarves, stuffed mascots, bags, postcards, and of course home decor items.
